Hi, Iβm Lizzie
Iβm an actor/singer/dancer/visual artist/ songwriter/experimental multidisciplinary artist, based in Astoria, Queens, NYC.
more about me:
You can call me Lizzie (she/they). I'm originally from Allentown, Pennsylvania where I grew up immersed in the trees, and where I fell in love with theatre. My first breakout role was at summer theatre camp at 10 years old, playing Jack in "Extra Extra! Jr." (before the stage musical of Newsies existed.) (Queering the cannon before I knew I was queer, eh?) I studied at Elon University and have been building a career and making art in NYC and around the world ever since then.
As an actor, I tell stories and play roles that crack your heart open and also ones that make you belly laugh. I love nuance and drama, and I also love the theatrical and absurd. I am queer, upbeat, unafraid, collaborative, an ideas person, embodied and physical, silly, open-minded and open-hearted. I fiercely believe that theatre is one of the most powerful ways we can feel alive and change hearts.
In all of my art, I am interested in exploring the full range the human experience, both the heartache and the silliness, the grief and the celebration, the loneliness, and the community, the hurting and the healing. I dedicate all of my art to the queers, the theater nerds, the big-hearted, and the silly goofs.
I am also passionate about reimagining the musical theatre cannon through a queer lens. You can watch one of my project's here (queering "Waitress"). If this aligns with your mission as well, please reach out to chat and let's make something together.
I am passionate about working on new and in-development work and working with writers and creatives to bring their unique worlds to life. I especially love working on theatre made by and for and with queer folks, lesbians, genderqueer folks, trans people, women, and other marginalized genders and intersectional identities. I love gay. I am also jewish and would be verklempt to get to tell some jew-y stories, sing some jewish or yiddish folk music, or play a jew.
I write music and song scapes, I am currently working on my first play, and I make all kinds of visual art - from painting, to single line drawing, to fiber arts. In my original art-making, I am driven by experimentation, and improvisation - following my body over my mind. I am always looking to experiment with other artists and make something new together, or get together with our instruments and harmonize and make music.
I also teach, coach, and mentor young artists and actors, and have taught at various universities, high schools, theatres, training programs, and more. I also take 1:1 clients.

My art-making process is experimental and improvisational. To the right youβll find an original song, a cover that is an original medley of two of my favorite songs by some of my favorite artists (Joni Mitchell, Sara Bareilles, and Ingrid Michaelson), a piece of original SoundArt called βMy Heart is a Wild Birdβ that was inspired by an anxious heart, big desires, 2020, and Glennon Doyleβs βUntamedβ.β
